What is a TDS meter?

The acronym TDS comes from the abbreviation in English of the word "Total Dissolved Solids" or "Total Dissolved Solids", so the greater the number of TDS the worse the quality of the water. TDS are measured in PPM (Parts Per Million).

Pure H2O water or distilled water, has no dissolved solids, so if you go through a TDS reader the test result will be "0" or a very low number in the event that there are traces of minerals in the water.

Examples

If you perform a test on a bottled mineralization water of weak mineralization, the result will be around 50 PPM, on the other hand if you use tap water and dissolve salt you will see how the number of PPM that will result from the test increases.

Which water is the most recommended?
